Alphonso "Al" Bryant, Jr.

Alphonso "Al" Bryant Jr., 99, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at his home in Blairsville, GA. Al was born January 19, 1925, in Sanford, FL to Alphonso Sr. and Ruby Bryant.

 Al was preceded in death by father, Alphonso Bryant Sr.; mother, Ruby Bryant; son, Randy Bryant; two brothers; and one sister.

 He is survived by his wife, Jean Bryant; daughter, Teri (Jeff) Pryor; son Kevin (Susie) Bryant; son, Bruce Bryant; stepson Ted (Linda) Davis; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Beth Ankney. Many friends also survive.

 He was a member of First Baptist Church of Blairsville. Al proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. A sports aficionado, Al enjoyed golf, football, and baseball, and was a Florida Gator fan. He spent some time as a minor-league baseball player.

 A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Blairsville with Rev. Ricky Powell officiating. Music provided by Terry Hooper.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Ken Hatley, Glen McCullers, Bruce Alexander, Lynn Felder, Jim Fuller, and Jim Grantham
 Interment will follow at Union Memory Gardens in Blairsville with military honors from the North Georgia Honor Guard.

 The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Blairsville on Saturday, 24th of February, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
