Bennie "Mac" Warren, 84, of Blairsville, GA passed away on April 10th, 2024. He was born on November 30th, 1939 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Farris and Esther Warren.
A man of the Christian faith, he was a cherished and long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Blairsville.
Throughout his career, Mac traveled over a million miles in the business world, showcasing his dedication and work ethic.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Mac also served with honor on a destroyer in the US Navy. His commitment to serving his country was unwavering and earned him respect among his peers.
In his leisure time, Mac found joy in his hobbies and interests. He had a deep love for classic cars and hot rods, he enjoyed spending time in his garden and working on his tractor, finding peace and satisfaction in the simplicity of nature. With his passion of gardening he enjoyed providing crops to the community, especially to Branan Lodge, leaving a lasting impact on all who benefited from his generosity. He was an avid learner of genealogy, appreciating each moment as he discovered more knowledge of his family's past.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Carolyn Adams Warren; children Keith (Shelley) Warren, and Stephanie Weinstein; brother Ed (Sylvia) Warren; grandchildren Wilson Warren, Travis Warren, and Nathaniel Weinstein, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive along with many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Farris and Esther Warren; brothers Bill, Bob, and Donnie; and sister Linda.
The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church of Blairsville on Sunday, April 14th, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 14th, 2024, at 3:00 pm at First United Methodist Church of Blairsville with Pastor Jerry Helton and Rev. Mack Riley officiating.
Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mac will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving family and friends who cherish the memories they shared with him.
