Bernie Edward Dixon, Sr.

Bernie Edward Dixon, Sr., age 92, of Andrews, North Carolina, was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Earl and Estell Dixon. He was saved in 1961, loved the Lord, and pastored churches in Florida and North Carolina. He was a member of Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church. He enjoyed singing as well as doing chalk drawings, oil paintings, and gospel magic.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Dixon, and siblings, Barbara Jean Dixon, Ronnie Dixon, Glenn Dixon, Patricia Lemons, and June Petit.

Survivors include brothers, Phil Dixon and Charles Dixon; son, Bernie(Twana) Dixon, Jr and daughter, Sharon (David) Carroll; grandchildren, Michael (Samantha) Dixon, Heather Butler, and Nathan (Christine) Carroll; and great-grandchildren, Kenneth Dixon, Kase Dixon, Benjamin Carroll, Jacen Carroll, Xavier Butler, Ella Butler, and Wyatt Lindsey.

A visitation in Murphy, NC will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church,1650 NC Highway 141, Murphy, NC 28906. A funeral Service will be held at 12:00PM in the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the Peachtree Memorial Cemetery.
