Berta Saberton

Mrs. Berta Veigel Saberton, age 93, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 26th, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Saberton was born in Esslingen, Germany, a daughter of Albert Veigel and Berta Anna Schmierer Veigel. Mr. and Mrs. Saberton were married on December 20, 1965. She and her husband moved to Blairsville in 1992 from Lakeland, Florida. Mrs. Saberton had been a member of the Bartow Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Lakeland for many years, and she also served on the Union General Hospital Auxiliary here in Blairsville for over 25 years. A son, Kurt Michael Saberton, passed away in 1985, and her sister, Ruth Jawniuk also preceded her in death.

Surviving family members include her husband, Richard Saberton; two sons: Danny Paul Sadler, and Larry M. Sadler; and a daughter, Susie C. Arbelaez; five grandchildren: Lisa M. Courcelle, Cassandra A. Corneal, Danny P. Sadler, Jr., Ricardo Arbelaez, and Dustin Shawn Sadler; great grandchildren: Anthony-Joey and Alexa Coucelle; Zayne and Zackary Corneal, Drake P. Sadler, and Hannah Arbelaez.
