Betty Cripe

Betty Ellen Cripe, age 96, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on August 27, 2022.

Betty was born December 31, 1925, in Wabash, IN to the late John Knight and the late Elizabeth Knight.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Cripe, and her son, Nicholas Cripe.

Survivors: daughter, Debrah (Milton) Greer, sons Thomas (Kathy) Cripe and Marcus (Pam) Cripe, daughter-in-law, Angela Cripe, brother, John Robert "Bob" Knight, and grandchildren, John Greer, Pamela Greer, Katie Serakos, Michael Cripe, Mary Maiman, Stephen Cripe and Kayley Cripe.

Betty loved working with children and served in various ministries during her lifetime as a Jesus follower including Sunday school teacher and director, VBS worker and director, weekly after school Bible Club in her home for elementary school children, Bible Club camp director, as well as church camp counselor. She held weekly ladies Bible study groups and organized monthly ladies luncheons. She and her husband also held Bible studies with many young Christian couples. Most recently, until becoming home bound do to health, they attended and were members of 1st Baptist Church of Blue Ridge.

Graveside Services: Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 2 pm from Chastain Park Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating.
