Betty Louise Lovejoy

Betty Louise Lovejoy, 91, of Murphy, North Carolina, went to be with God, on August 30, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born in East Machias, Maine, Betty was the beloved wife of the late Donald William Lovejoy, her childhood sweetheart. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Lovejoy, Kelli Lovejoy, and Kim Brownlee and her husband Donald; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Norma Labossiere, Linda Weingart and husband Tom; Kim Aubin and husband Peter, and her brother, Michael Stoddard and wife Rita.

Betty will be remembered for her deep love of family, her Maine roots, her kindness toward animals, her creativity in dollmaking, and her joy in life’s simple pleasures.

To honor Betty's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Valley River Humane Society, in lieu of flowers.
