Birdie Geneva Davenport (Beaver)

Mrs. Birdie Geneva Davenport, age 77 of Morganton, went home to be with the Lord on September 27, 2011. Mrs. Davenport a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother was born April 4, 1934 in Blairsville, GA to Earnest Beaver and Vestie Thomas Beaver. A member of Hemptown Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by husband, Junior R. Davenport, son, David Davenport.

Survivors include: son, Danny (Cindy) Davenport, son, Damon (Vicki) Davenport, daughter in law, Janice Davenport Brown, 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren & many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Whitener & Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. interment will follow in Hemptown Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Travis Davenport, Nathan Davenport, Eric Davenport, Dawson Davenport, Tayler Bradburn & Austin Bradburn.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
