"Buster" Hugh Don Fowler

"Buster" Hugh Don Fowler, age 86, of McCaysville, GA, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, in Blue Ridge, GA. Buster was born February 22, 1937, in McCaysville, GA to Harley and Ina Fowler. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ina Fowler; father, Harley Fowler; sister, Janie Hardin; sister, Lena Ray; brother, Johnny Fowler; sister, Mary Lou Chambers; and brother, Harley Dan Fowler. 
He is survived by his sister, JoAnn (Alvin) Henry; brother-in-law, Terry Chambers; nephew, Jay (Vicki) Hardin, nephew, Wally Hardin; niece, Lynda Jane Hardin; nephew, Eddie Ray; nephew, Phil Ray; niece, Jan Ray; nephew, Matthew (Ivy) Chambers; nephew, Doug (Tammy) Henry; niece, Amanda (Raymond) Ledbetter; nephew, Jason Henry; nephew, Justin (Kristen) Fowler; niece, Heather (David) LeClair; and numerous other family and friends. 
He was a veteran of the  U.S. Army and retired from the Tennessee Copper Company. Buster enjoyed tennis, jogging, basketball, and he was known to compete in several of the Atlanta "Peachtree Road Race" marathons. 
Memorial Service, on Wednesday November 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Military Honors by The North Georgia Honor Guard. 
The family will receive friends at Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Wednesday, 15th of November, 2023, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
