Carol Jane Freeland

Carol Jane Freeland, age 78, passed away on January 4, 2026, in Acworth, Georgia. She was born on April, 7, 1947, in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Ralph Nicholson and Claire Kirby Nicholson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Winford Freeland and a brother, Keith Nicholson. She is survived by a son, Jason Freeland, and a sister, Janice Hogsed. Many other extended family members also survive.

A very caring wife and loving mother truly described Carol Jane Freeland. She was a woman of strong faith in her personal Christian walk. Her work ethic was strong and enduring.

A graveside memorial service is to be rescheduled at a later date at  Enotah Cemetery in Hiawassee, Georgia with Rev. Billy Nicholson officiating. .  Service has been cancelled until further notice.
