In Loving Memory of Catharine Williamson Turner
January 13, 1947 – July 4, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catharine Williamson Turner, who entered into eternal rest on July 4, 2026, at the age of 79.
Catharine was born on January 13, 1947, in Copperhill, Tennessee, to the late Sara Shelton Williamson and Harold Vincent Williamson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Michael Turner, her parents, and her brother, Hal Williamson.
Catharine was a woman of deep and abiding faith whose church was at the center of her life. Alifelong United Methodist, she was an active member of the churches in the communities she called home, including Copperhill United Methodist Church in Copperhill, Tennessee, Hawkinsville United Methodist Church in Hawkinsville, Georgia, and Luminary United Methodist Church in Kingston, Tennessee. She faithfully served through worship, fellowship, and her involvement with the United Methodist Women, forming lasting friendships and touching countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and servant's heart.
Above all, Catharine cherished her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, PerianTurner Michael, and son-in-law, Jonathan Michael; her son, Adam Turner, and daughter-in-law, Lynn Turner; her treasured grandchildren, Lyndsay Turner, McCay Turner, and Turner Michael; and her sister, Ann Dunn. She also leaves behind many extended family members, lifelongfriends, and fellow church members who will deeply miss her.
Catharine will be remembered for her unwavering faith, gentle spirit, gracious heart, and steadfast love for her family and friends. She lived a life of quiet service, always putting others before herself and offering encouragement, compassion, and a warm smile to everyone she met. Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A memorial service celebrating Catharine's life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:00a.m. at Copperhill United Methodist Church in Copperhill, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to Copperhill United Methodist Church in Catharine's memory.
