Charles Gary Boggs

Charles Gary Boggs, age 73, of Murphy, NC; passed away at his home on 4/24/26, born to the late Charles Boggs and the late Kathleen (Robert) Barber.

Gary, as he was known, was of the Seventh-Day Adventist Faith. He retired from the Textile Industry. He loved working with computers and spending time with his family. Gary was a quiet, gentle, kind man, who never met a stranger. He always considered a stranger as a friend that he just met. He loved animals.

Beside his parents and stepparent, he was proceeded in death by his brother Steve Stone, and stepson Anthony Payne.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Bertha Manis Boggs, two sons, Daniel (Kaela) Boggs of Chattanooga, TN; and Michael Boggs of Florida; three stepsons, Jerome Payne (Linda) of Resaca, GA; Thomas Payne (Tina) of Plainville, GA; and Jeff Payne (Tonya) of Calhoun, GA; Grandchildren Prudence Boggs and Luna Mae Boggs; Step-Grandchildren Brandon Rodgers and Heather Payne; He is also survived by one sister Dawn (Mike) Jaksa of Murphy, NC; and one brother William Michael (Debra) Boggs of Palatka, FL; and a host of other relatives, special cousins and friends Debra and Bobby Dowling of FL. A service is planned for a later date. At his request, Mr. Boggs will be cremated.
