Charles E. Brown Jr., a devoted father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, at the age of 93. Charles was born on March 14, 1932, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, to the late Charles E. Brown Sr and Dorothy Chilvers Brown. He dedicated his professional life to textile chemical sales.
As a veteran of the United States Army, Charles honorably served his country during the Korean War, exemplifying courage and commitment that continued to resonate throughout his life. He was a resident of Blairsville, Georgia, for more than 20 years, where he cultivated a love for the serene beauty of Lake Notley. Charles often delighted in being out on the water in his boat.
He was affectionately known as "Ampoos" by his grandchildren, who knew him as a loving and dedicated family man. His love for his family was immeasurable, showcasing his enduring support by traveling from Blairsville to Atlanta, bringing warmth and kindness with him, even in the form of snow one winter, so they could experience a fun snowball fight. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Susan (Mike) LeBaron; his sons, Stephen Brown and Karl Brown; his granddaughter, Karla (Steven) Steele; and his grandson, David LeBaron.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Constance Brown, and his son Erik Brown.
