Charles Eddie Truett

Charles Eddie Truett, age 85, of Blairsville, GA died on March 20, 2026.

He was born April 29, 1940 to James “Sid” Edward Truett and Julia Alice Almond Truett in Andrews, North Carolina. Charles attended Andrews High School. He met the love of his life, Adrianne Ballew Truett, at the movie theater where Charles worked in Andrews. They married in Murphy, NC in 1958 and shared 67 years of marriage as a couple and had one son, Chuck. Charles worked as a barber, realtor and owned a jewelry store. Charles had a great sense of style and a love for jewelry. He frequently volunteered at Mount Carmel Christian Church where he also sang in the choir. He enjoyed working in his yard, cooking, and spending time with his family and his pets. He loved to host family gatherings with Adrianne. Charles and Adrianne located to Atlanta for their careers, but returned home to the mountains in retirement.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Alice Truett. He is survived by his wife Adrianne Truett son, Charles “Chuck” Eddie Truett, Jr (Cindy), granddaughters Kelli Spinks (Justin) and Katie Truett.

Please join the family in a celebration of his life at New Union Baptist Church in Blairsville, Georgia on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Internment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Visitation will take place from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral hour.

Flowers are being accepted or in lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to the New Union Baptist Church.
