Mr. Clayton Brown, age 84 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007.

Mr. Brown was born Saturday, November 30, 1922 in Union County, Georgia to the late Henry Franklin Brown and the late Collesta Thomason Brown. He was a member of Choestoe Baptist Church, Allegheny Lodge #114 F & AM, Lions Club and was a P.O.W. during WWII in Germany. He was preceded in death by wife, Susie Lance Brown, brothers, Paul, Harmon and Emory Brown.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, Gary C. and Maria Brown of Canton, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Edwina B. and Tim Garrison of Blairsville, GA, brothers, Homer Brown of Rock Mart, GA and Barney Brown of Blairsville, GA, sisters, Ellen Collins of Blairsville, GA, Ethel Self of Columbia, SC, Ruby Sexton of Blairsville, GA, Cleo Hooper of Hayesville, NC, Connie Galloway of Gastonia, NC and Frankie Dunaway of Rome, GA, granddaughter, Kristi Brown of Houston, TX, grandsons, Clay Brown of Canton, GA, Chad Rich of Blairsville, GA and Rev. Trint Rich of Blairsville, GA, great-grandsons, Lance Rich, Cayden Rich and Trevor Norman, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Zollinger officiating and masonic rites conducted by Allegheny Lodge #114. Music provided by, Bill Collins, Buddy Hunter, Mac McGuire, pianist, Martha Collins. Interment will follow in Union Memory Gardens with military honors conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers are: members of Allegheny Lodge # 114.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Friday, May 11.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to American Heart Association.

The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
