In loving memory of Danny Brannan Goodman

May 22, 1938 - September 13, 2023

Danny Goodman, a beloved husband, father, son, and brother passed away September 13, 2023 at the age of 85.  He enjoyed love, laughter, and kindness that will forever be present in our lives.   

Born on May 22, 1938, in Las Vegas, New Mexico,  Danny was the beloved son of the late Boyd & Lillie Goodman.  His siblings were Jeanne, Carol, Jimmie Ann, David, Francis & Boyd, Jr.  He graduated from Yorktown High School in 1956. He enjoyed participating in track, basketball & singing in a trio.  He enjoyed deep sea fishing.  He attended the University of Houston & A&I Kingsville.  His passion was Heating & A/C for 56 years & was the owner of Goodman Heating & Air.  He was deeply devoted to his customers.   

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 12 years, Deborah of Young Harris, Georgia; his two children, Greg D. Day and his wife, Linda,  and JoBeth Bock and her husband, Joe; much loved grandfather to four granddaughters, Amanda Barbe and her husband, Josh, Joanna Pereira and her husband, Oliver,  Elizabeth Gill and her husband, Paul & Amy Bock.  Loving great grandfather to five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother-in-law & step-mother-in-law, Susan L. Kidwell and Rose M. Kidwell; sister-in-laws, Karen Mutcher, Anna White, and Dianne Hamilton; brother-in-laws, David Kidwell and Charles E. Kidwell; grandchildren, Windi Almanza and her husband Hugo, Danielle, Kelsey Howerton, and Elizabeth Abrams; and 7 great-grandchildren.

There will be a service held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Truett Baptist Church in Hayesville, NC (21 Pass St, Hayesville, NC 28904).
