Deanne L. Johnson

Deanne Low Johnson, born on July 22, 1945, left this world on August 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted mother to four children and a cherished grandmother to ten grandchildren. Deanne's life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her dedication to her career.

Deanne was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the daughter of Kathryn and Charles Low. She grew up in Pittsburgh where she developed her strong sense of community and a passion for helping others.

After graduating from Dormont high school, Deanne went on to pursue higher education at Point Park University. Her commitment to learning and personal growth was a lifelong pursuit, setting an example for her family. Deanne spent several years of her career at the Atlanta Journal Constitution, where she served as an Executive Assistant. Her commitment and hard work were emblematic of her character, and her colleagues held her in high regard.

However, her greatest source of pride and joy was her family. Deanne's role as a mother and grandmother was central to her identity, and she poured her love and care into her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories and bonds that will be cherished forever.

Deanne is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Johnson, and her four children, Amy Payne, Heather Jones, Kris Prezzano, and Steve Johnson. She also leaves behind ten adoring grandchildren who will forever carry her love in their hearts.

Deanne Low Johnson will be remembered not only for her professional achievements but also for the love and warmth she brought to her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of family, dedication, and benevolence will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind. A private memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
