Denny Ray Smith

Denny Ray Smith, 75, of Murphy, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at his home in Murphy, NC. Denny was born March 11, 1951, in Andrews, NC to Ray and Christine Smith.

Denny was preceded in death by father, Ray Smith; mother, Christine Smith; sister, Lynn Cunningham; and sister, Penny Stiles.

He is survived by his son Nicholas Smith; daughter Brandi Poole; son Zachary Smith; sister Ginger MaHaffey; son Brian Folson and many nieces and nephews.

He was Minister and founder of Christian Love Ministries in Murphy, NC. He opened the ministry in 1986. Denny loved playing music and guitars. He also wrote columns in the Cherokee Scout newspaper titled What about your soul.

A memorial service will be to be announced at a later date.
