Donald Lynn Kisselburg, age 98, of Blue Ridge, GA., passed away August 25, 2026.
Donald was born on May 18, 1928, to P.L. and Myrtle Kisselburg in Fannin County, GA.
Don enjoyed woodworking, making bread boxes, gun cabinets, toolboxes, jelly cabinets, cradles and rocking chairs for his friends and family. He also enjoyed genealogy, hunting, journaling, photography, gardening, flowers, and fishing.
Don entered the U.S. Army in November 1948, and was discharged in October 1951, after serving in Korea from August 1950, until September 1951.
He was written into the Lamb's Book of Life at McCaysville Methodist Church in 1958. Don's favorite Bible verse was Psalm 121: 1 - "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help."
Don was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Bernola Guinn Kisselburg; his parents, P.L. & Myrtle Kisselburg; brothers, P.L. Kisselburg Jr., Winfred Kisselburg, Clyde Kisselburg, and Edwin Kisselburg; and sisters, Dot Sullivan, Helen Taylor, and Teeny Panter.
Survivors include children, Cynthia Gwen (Marvin) Newman of Cleveland, TN and Alan Lynn (Sharon) Kisselburg of Blue Ridge, GA; granddaughters, Laurel Ashley (Jonathan) Hooper of Charleston, TN, and Allison Kisselburg Davis of Blue Ridge, GA; grandson, Benjamin Ross (Christina) Newman of Cleveland, TN; and great-grandchildren, Emily Rose and Andrew Newman of Cleveland, TN and Blake William and Megan Shea Davis of Blue Ridge, GA.
A special thanks to all who kept contact with Dad as he loved each and every one of you and he had good stories of times spent with you and your families.
At Don's request, a private graveside service will be held at Crestlawn Cemetery in Copperhill, TN. with Rev. Larry Russell officiating.
