Donna Vaughan Snoderly

Donna Snoderly, age 90, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in Blue Ridge, Georgia. She was born on March 24, 1935, to the late Harry and Helene Williams Vaughan in Atlanta, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her husband, John M. Snoderly.

Donna was very active in her younger years and an accomplished badminton player. She developed a passion for various arts and crafts in later years, including needlepoint, scrapbooking and card making, giving cards to family as well as sending to troops. She had a true servant's heart, reaching out to meet the needs of family and others with great generosity and sacrifice, including supporting the Wounded Warriors Project. Donna also had a love of Abyssinian cats and Basenji dogs, raising and showing them in regional dog shows throughout the southeast, including having a champion dog "Poppy". Donna also loved caring for babies, including raising 4 boys, fostering children up for adoption and later with grand-children. In retirement, she loved to travel including national parks, Alaska, Japan, and steamboat trips on the Mississippi. Her impact on her family will be felt for generations.Mrs. Snoderly is survived by her sons: John Snoderly, Jr., Mike (Joren) Snoderly, Bill (Sonya) Snoderly, and Steve (Valerie) Snoderly; brother, Bill Vaughan and sister, Andrea Brannon; grandchildren, Dallas, Crystal, Katherine, Lauren, Daniel, Davis and Sydney; great grandchildren, Landon, Payton and Bristol. Other extended family also survive.

A memorial service honoring her life is scheduled to be conducted at the Cochran McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Blairsville, Georgia on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Tony Neal officiating. The family will be receiving friends in a time of visitation at the Cochran McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Blairsville, Georgia on Saturday June 28, 2025 from 12:00 noon until the 2:00 P.M. memorial service hour.
