Jean Berry, age 84, passed away on February 25, 2026 in Winter Park, FL.

Jean was born in Murphy, NC to Ab Gentry and Florence Gentry. Jean married Robert G. Berry of Hapeville, GA on March 30, 1967 in Atlanta, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ab Gentry and Florence Gentry, her Husband Robert Berry and all four of her siblings; Helen Graves, Howell Gentry, Cecil Gentry and Barbara Graves.

She is survived by her daughter, Mira Berry, her granddaughter, Alexandra Berry, and her niece and nephews; Dorinda Gentry, Brian Gentry, Jeff Gentry and Chris Gentry.

The viewing will be held Saturday, the 7th of March, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Murphy Chapel followed by Funeral Service for Jean Berry at 1:00 PM. The family requests that everyone wear blue to services. Burial will the take place at Peachtree Memorial Cemetery right after services. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers: Jeff Gentry, Brian Gentry, Chris Gentry, David Yonce, and Naif Alshwerrq. The family will receive visitors at 200 Gentry Lane, Murphy, NC after the graveside service at Peachtree Memorial Church.

Jean's favorite causes were charities for children and pets.
