Dorothy Helms, age 80, of Murphy, NC, passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 at her residence Mrs. Helms was born Friday, October 8, 1926 in Cherokee Co. NC to the late Burt Adams and the late Ever Taylor Adams Thompson. A member of the Baptist Faith, She was preceded in death by her husband, Craven Fred Helms.
Survivors include: sister, Irene Easterday of Hillsdale, Mich, sister, Marie Chandler of Fort Mill, SC, sister, Barbara Beavers of Murphy, nieces & nephews alao survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Calvin Murphy Officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, North Carolina Wednesday 2:00PM.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 10.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy, North Carolina is in charge of arrangements.
