Edwin Charles Ally

Edwin Charles Ally, age 67, passed away on June 27, 2026, at his home in McCaysville, Georgia. He was born on May 11, 1959, in Willard, Ohio, to Charles Ally and Marilyn (Teeters) Ally.

Throughout his life, Edwin worked in a variety of retail positions. He was a store manager at a convenience store in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; stocked shelves at Walmart in Pahrump, Nevada; and worked as a porter at the Harrah's Hotel in Las Vegas. His mother worked there as a server, and his brother Kevin worked there as a bellhop at the same time, making the experience more enjoyable for all of them.

Edwin loved country living and enjoyed raising chickens, goats, and pigs. He cherished the dogs he had throughout the years, but his greatest love was his Boston Terrier, Sadie. He also enjoyed collecting old grandfather clocks and antique furniture and attending auctions. He had a large train set complete with towns, stoplights, and houses, and he loved setting it up and running the trains.

Edwin made friends everywhere he went. He could talk to anyone and everyone and seemed to befriend them all. He was always willing to do whatever he could to help someone in need. Edwin loved his family, God, and his dog, Sadie, dearly, and he will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and ability to make friends wherever he went. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Edwin is survived by his mother, Marilyn (Teeters) Ally; his sisters, Debbie (David) Grade, Jodie Clemens, and Lorrie (Jaimie) Baumgartner; and his brother, Martin Ally. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Vera Sanders, Kenny (Nancy) Teeters, and Ginny Shelton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ally; his brother, Kevin Ally; his grandparents, John and Dorothy Teeters and Harvey and Helen Ally; and his aunts and uncles, Phil Teeters, Eddie Teeters, Ted and Dorit Teeters, George and Virginia Ally, Harvey Ally Jr., Lester and Karol Ally, Margaret Palmer, Betty Whited, and Thelma McPherson. He was also preceded in death by his cousin, Lanette (Shelton) Jones.
