Glenn "Eric" Mealer

Glenn "Eric" Mealer, age 57, of McCaysville, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026. He was born on August 19, 1969, to Glenn Edward and Brenda Sue Bell Mealer. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Chasity Michelle Barker Mealer; his beloved son, Jacob Mealer; and his mother, Brenda Mealer.

Eric was an unwaveringly devoted and incredible father, strong leader, hardworking role model, and an exceptional mentor to his children. Eric enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, teaching his children endlessly invaluable skills and lessons, listening to music, laughing, and taking motorcycle trips together. Furthermore, Eric always expressed that his greatest accomplishment as a father was his children, and their individual accomplishments, for which they give him immense thanks, had it not been for his support.

He is survived by his beloved children, son Coy Mealer and daughter Casi Mealer, who will forever hold him close in their hearts. He is also survived by his father, Glenn Mealer; his brother, Anthony "Tony" Mealer, and his wife, Pam; his brother-in-law, Dean Barker, and sister-in-law, Ashley Barker, along with his nephew, Brayden Barker, and niece, Brylie Barker.

Though no formal services will be held in his honor, those who knew Eric are encouraged to take a moment to reflect on the invaluable moments shared and the joy he brought into their lives.
