Etta Ruth Greenway

Etta Ruth Greenway, age 92, of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in Blairsville, GA. Etta was born September 2, 1934, in Fannin County, GA to Henry Arthur Flowers and Oma Flowers. 

She was lifelong member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church and a devout Christian as well as a devoted wife, homemaker, and caregiver for her family and loved ones including Jesse, whom she loved as if he was her own son. She loved unconditionally and was faithful in serving the Lord.

Etta was preceded in death by her father, Henry Arthur Flowers; mother, Oma Flowers; sisters, Hazel Flowers Rogers, Rosalee Flowers Brown, and Ruby Mae Flowers; and brothers, Walter Flowers, James Flowers, Robert Blaine Flowers, Kenneth Flowers, and John & William Flowers. 

She is survived by her husband, James Greenway; sisters, Mildred Ross and Katherne Raper; brother, Charles Flowers; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Janice Nicholson; sister-in-law, Anita Long; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service, on Sunday October 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home & Crematory Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Robert Flowers officiating. Music provided by the Flowers Family. 

Family would like to express their gratitude to all the caregivers who helped Etta during her final stages of life.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Craig Flowers, Lee Brown, Milton Ross, Shannon Queen, Nathan Nicholson, and Terry Flowers. 

Interment will follow at Mount Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery in Mineral Bluff, GA. 

The family will receive friends at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home & Crematory Blue Ridge Chapel on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
