Evan L. Underwood

Mr. Evan L. Underwood, age 80 of Smyrna, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at The Phoenix at Roswell. Mr. Underwood was born May 2, 1938 in Morganton, GA to the late Doctor Prince Underwood and the late Rady E. Woody Underwood. Evan was Baptist in faith and he served his country as an U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for many years and retired from John H. Harland Company.
Survivors include wife, Ellen Underwood, son, Jerome (Brean) Underwood, sister, Marie Addington, grandson, Evan Underwood, and special care giver, Joyce Smith.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Pittman officiating and Brean Underwood giving the Eulogy. Military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers include David McMurrian, Dennis Conyers, David Addington, Douglas Addington, Lance Murdock, and Darell Cruse. Military honors will be presented by the North GA Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Monday, March 25, 2019 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
