Evelyn Mauney, age 83 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008 at the Union County Nursing Home. Miss Mauney was born Monday, June 2, 1924 in Union County, GA to the late Bascom Mauney and the late Beedie Davenport Mauney. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister and brother, Louise Bradley and Harrell Mauney.
Survivors include: nieces and nephews, Dennis Bradley, Kenneth Bradley, Sandy Bradley, Milton Bradley and Janet Harkins, all of Blairsville, James Mauney of Ontario, OR and Amy Mauney Grubbs of Warner Robbins, GA.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday April 16th at 4:00 PM from the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Seay officiating. Serving as pallbearers are: Dennis Bradley, Kenneth Bradley, Milton Bradley, Matthew Bradley, Tayler Harkins and Tucker Harkins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 PM, Wednesday, April 16.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
