Everett Traylor

Everett Leon Traylor of Mineral Bluff passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 28th at his home. He was the devoted husband of Marie Traylor and stepfather of Steven Lavoie (Nathan Williams). Leon was born in North Carolina in 1946 to Carl and Maymie Traylor.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He was a police officer in Boynton Beach, Fl for 23 years along with wife Marie. Leon, as he was known to friends and family and Marie, moved to Mineral Bluff in 1994 where they became active in community affairs. He was an avid scratch golfer and enjoyed boating and fishing and was a champion undefeated Scrabble player except to his wife.

He was a man of many talents and enjoyed life and good conversations. In addition to Marie and Steven, he will be missed by many friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at the convenience of the family.
