Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Frances; two daughters, Deborah Hunter and Melissa Brown; and his cherished grandson, Daniel Hunter.
Born on October 12, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jim was raised in Dunnellon, Florida, by his mother. He graduated from Dunnellon High School and later moved to Ocala, Florida, with his wife, where they lovingly raised their two daughters.
After a long career with the Marion County Road Department, Jim went on to own and operate Road Way Sign Company. For many years, Jim was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He was an avid reader and loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing with his grandson. Above all, Jim found his greatest joy in being with his family.
