George Talton Greene

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of George Talton Greene, who left this world on September 1, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on November 12, 1957, in Youngstown, Ohio, George was a cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. He touched the lives of many during his time with us.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Greene, and his children: Anthony Greene, Tabitha Taylor, Chrysta Freeman, Kayla Greene, Kelsey Greene, Derek Ramsey, Thrice Ferguson, and Skyler Crane, Madison Deal, and a host of grandchildren, including Dante Freeman, Hadley Taylor, Sophia Crosby, Kyson Crosby, Kade Crosby, Elena Crosby, Marshall Crosby, and Rowan Hogsed. George is further survived by his brother, Mark Greene, and sister-in-law, Gretchen Greene. He will be dearly missed by his niece, Maggie Deathridge, his nephew, Jason Greene, and his aunt, Virginia Shannon and brother-in-law Robert Ramsey and his children Xander Ramsey and Ava Ramsey. Also his beloved fur babies HEMI and Chisser. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Hobart and Oveta Greene

George enjoyed a fulfilling 23 year career at Chemical Products of Cartersville, where he was known for his dedication and commitment. He loved guitars, music, fishing, camping and especially his children and grandchildren.

A visitation will be held in George's honor on September 4, 2026, at 5:00 PM, allowing friends and family to gather and reflect on the wonderful memories shared with him.

George will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family and his unshakeable faith. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
