Georgia Swett

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Georgia Swett, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on January 7, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on July 5, 1926, Georgia lived a life filled with warmth, adventure, and unwavering love for her family.

Georgia will be deeply missed by her devoted sons, Wendell C. (Bonita) Guyer Jr. and Chris (Mandy) Swett; her loving daughter, Suzanne (Don) Wilson; her cherished grandchildren, Melanie Fritz, Stephanie McClean, and Shannon Hunley; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, John Rue Kepple and Ruth Marie George Kepple; husband, Leonard W. Swett; and one son, John Guyer.

Georgia loved traveling, but her greatest joy was always found in the laughter and love of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

In her honor, a memorial service will be planned at a later date.

The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Georgia’s name, in lieu of flowers.
