Mrs. Geraldean Loretta Chance, age 59 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Monday, April 16, 2007 at Rabun County Hospital.
Mrs. Chance was born Friday, October 10, 1947 in Union Co., GA to Robert Davenport and the late Nadean Hughes Davenport. A member of New Hope Baptist Church, She was preceded in death by husband, Gene D. Chance, mother, Nadean Davenport, daughter,Tina Mowry and granddaughter, Jessica Mowry.
Survivors include: father, Robert Davenport of Blairsville, GA, daughter & son-in-law, Tammy and Mark Beaty of Marysville, WA, son & daughter-in-law, Dale and Krystal Chance of Blairsville, GA, son-in-law, Doug Mowry of Murphy, NC, brother, Albert and Martha Davenport of Blairsville, GA, brother, J. L. and Jane Davenport of Blairsville, GA, brother, H. B. and Linda Davenport of Blairsville, GA, sister, Shirley and Ronnie McDonald of Blairsville, GA, brother, Elmer and Sherry Davenport of Wallahalla, SC. grandchildren, Jeremy Samples, Samantha Beaty, Christopher Mowry, Zachary Shook, and Dylan Chance, several nieces and nephews also survive,
Services will be held Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Brent Chatham officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville, GA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7, Thursday, April 19.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to American Cancer Society or the America Kidney Foundation.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
