Glen Davenport, age 56 of Blue Ridge, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. He was born August 27, 1955 in Blue Ridge, GA to Leman and Ethel Melton Davenport. Mr. Davenport attended Rock Creek Baptist Church. He was a local business man owning Blue Ridge Oil Company and enjoyed hunting and fishing .
Survivors include: father, Leman Davenport, mother, Ethel Davenport, wife, Betty Davenport, son, Adam Davenport, daughter, Wendy (Greg) Smith, sister, Peggy Long, Brother, James (Debbie) Davenport, sister, Aline Davenport, Clinton (Sandra) Davenport, Brother, Kennon Davenport, granddaughter, Nola Smith, mother-in-law, Pauline Watkins. .
Funeral services: Monday, July 9, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Worley and Rev. Bryan Contardi officiating. Interment will follow in Ozion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: John McClure, Danny Ensley, Matthew Davenport, Paul Davenport, John Davenport and Greg Smith. : .
