Harold Crump

March 11, 1925 — June 10, 2007

Mr. James Harold Crump, age 82, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2007 at his place of residence. Mr. Crump was born Wednesday, March 11, 1925 in Union County, Georgia to the late Frank Crump and the late Carrie Lovell Crump. Harold was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church, and WW II Army Veteran, having served in the European Theatre. He was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Edward Crump and sisters, Georgia Crump and Lounedah Avera.

Survivors include: wife, Marie Crump of Blairsville; daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Bill Thebert of New Milford, Connecticut; sister, Emma Jane Turner of Lilburn, Georgia; sister, Joyce Tanner of Snellville, Georgia; sister, Billie Jo Cardot of Lilburn, Georgia; brother, J.D. Crump of Griffin, Georgia; and step-granddaughter, Emily Thebert of Casper, WY; many other relatives and many friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Stacy Dyer, and Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Music will be provided by Scott Lance. Interment will follow in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blairsville. Serving as pallbearers are the following gentlemen: John Crump, Russell Cardot, Frank Turner, Kevin Tanner, Dale Hamby, and Johnny Hamby. Honorary pallbearers include the following gentlemen: Willard Cardot, Jack Dillard, Joe Dillard, Dennis Hamby, and Andy Gwynn.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Tuesday, June 12.
