Rev. Herman Richard Bell

Reverend Herman R. Bell, age 90, son of John and Bertha Bell of Mineral Bluff, GA., passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

Reverend Bell was devoted to God, his wife Wanda, and his family. He was of the Baptist faith and pastored many churches during his ministry.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Wanda Hensley Bell. Daughters, Glenda (Kenny) Pressley of Blairsville; Sandi (Gerald) Stewart of Princeton, KY; Vicki (Phillip) Padgett of Jasper; Patty (Dennis) Nicholson of Mineral Bluff; Rebecca (Kenny) Payne of Blairsville; Robin (Drew) Clippard of Lavonia; and one son, Ronnie(Rebecca) Bell. Fifteen grandkids, 21 great-grandkids, 1 great-great-grandson, and a great-great-granddaughter due in November. Brother Harmon Bell and sister Margie Indelicato.

He was preceded in death by 3 infant children, son-in-law Roger Moore, great-granddaughter Oaklyn Townshend, and siblings Junior, Norman, Kenny, Pearl, Pauline, and Jane.

Funeral Service will be at Cochran|McDaniel Funeral Home, Blue Ridge Chapel on Friday, August, 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Anthony Stonecipher and Doyle Davis officiating. Interment will be at the Hensley Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Brandon Nicholson, Dustin Nicholson, Derrick Allen, Alex Bell, Kobe Stonecipher, and Jamie Hensley. Honorary pallbearers Ben Hawkins, Ab Bradford, and Charles Fish and Virgil Arp.

The family will receive friends at the Cochran|McDaniel Funeral Home of Blue Ridge on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 4 pm - 9 pm; Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 4 pm - 9 pm; and Friday, August 15, 2025, from 12 pm -2 pm.
