Jack M. Guffey

Jack M. Guffey, Sr., age 63, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed from this life on December 7, 2025. He was born to the late James and Minnie Guffey on May 14, 1962. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon, and a brother, Mack. He is survived by his wife, Christina Guffey; children, Evie Duos, Darrell Guffey, Jaclyn Guffey and Jack Guffey Jr.; sister, Ellen Nix; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Many other extended family members and friends also survive. 

Jack was a true craftsman in his labors of construction. He could also create special pieces of woodwork that were truly works of art. He enjoyed being out in God's wonderful created work, finding enjoyment in fishing and hunting. He was known as "Crappie Jack" in his fishing expeditions. Those caught fish became a delicious meal to share with others. Jack was called "Handsome Jack" by many. Jack lived his life on his terms so that everyone who knew him knew exactly where he stood on any issue. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. from the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Blairsville, Georgia, with Gary Guffey officiating. A eulogy will be given by Evie Duos. The family will be receiving friends in a time of visitation at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home in Blairsville, Georgia, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until the 1:00 P.M. funeral service hour.
