James Robert Cochran Jr

J. R. Cochran, age 34, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023, in Morganton, GA.  J. R. was born August 4, 1988, in Chattanooga, TN to James Robert Cochran Sr and Cindy Robinson. He graduated from Copper Basin High School in 2005. In the past, J. R. had worked for Walmart in the Loss Prevention Department and the Automotive Care Center. He also worked at Pilgrim's Pride in the shipping department for many years.

J. R. was a kind, polite, and softhearted young man who loved animals and enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and mechanic work. He was always working on his motorcycle and fixing up old cars.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cletis Cochran & Dorothy Stanley Cochran and Mary Dennis; special great aunt, Shirley A. Stanley; and aunt, Elaine Lord.

Survivors include his loving son, Bryson Cochran of Chatsworth, GA; father, James Robert Cochran Sr, of Morganton, GA; mother, Cindy (John) Pitts of Ellijay, GA; aunts & uncles, Mike & Beckie Hampton of Mineral Bluff, GA, Roger (Maybelle) Cochran of Morganton, GA, and Patsy Ray & Bill Howell of Chatsworth, GA.

Funeral Services: Monday, February 20, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA with Dr. Roger Beck and Rev. Eric Kincaid officiating. Music by: Debra Cochran, Linda Weaver, and Matthew McGill. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery in Blue Ridge, GA. Masonic rites by the Dooly Lodge F&AM 367 at the graveside. He was a member of Dooly Lodge 367 and McCay Lodge 423.

Pallbearers: Darren Rose, Anthony Rose, Kenny Hensley, Jerry Cobb, Bryson Cochran, Lucas Brock, Nathan Swanson, and Brandon Cantrell.

The Family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home, Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an education fund for his son Bryson at Bank of OZK in Blue Ridge, GA.
