James "Jimmy" (Bobo) Mason, age 55, of Lula, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, to be with his Lord. He was a former longtime resident of Blairsville and an active member of First Baptist Church Blairsville, Georgia. Jimmy never met a stranger in life, and he always kept a smile on his face to share with everyone. He truly had a deep love for his God-Jesus, and people. Although throughout his life his speech was impaired, the voice from his spirit came through to others loud and clear. He was a person of child-like innocence and yet an old soul. Music delighted his soul and would stir him to dance. He was known for his smile, his loving bear hugs, enthusiastic greetings and his love of sports. His family lived in his unconditional and adoring love. Jimmy ("Bobo") leaves behind a lasting legacy of very special family and friends who will miss him terribly but are rejoicing that he is in Heaven.
Jimmy was predeceased by his father, James A. Mason, Aunt Joan and Big Big John Postell. He is survived by his mother, Janice Kay Cheek Mason; sister, Rhonda Kay Mason (Brian) Rogers, nephew, Blake Mason (Lorena) Rogers, and great nephew, Keith Mason Rogers; niece Leah Hope Rogers (Phillip) Dekle; sister, Hope Elaine Mason Seeber (Jared Skelton), nephew, Britton Joseph Seeber, and niece, Karsyn Raye Skelton.
