James Randall Woody

Mr. James "Randall" Woody, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home on January 31, 2026. He was born on July, 21,1946 in Morganton, Georgia to the late Emerson and Jesse Davenport Woody. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pat Woody; brothers, Clyde and C.W. Woody.

Randall was a loving brother and uncle. Above all, he was a devoted father especially to Miranda, whom he lovingly cared for over the past six years.

Mr. Woody is survived by his daughters, Kim (Nathan) Garrett and Miranda Woody; sister, Pauline (Solon) Pless and one brother, Howard (Marie) Woody and sisters in law, Linda Woody, and Jeannine Woody. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services are scheduled to be conducted on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Suches, Georgia with Rev. Don Padgett officiating. 

The family of Mr. Woody will be receiving friends at the Cochran McDaniel Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, Georgia on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until the departure time of of 1:00 P.M. in procession to Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Jason Booker, Michael Harper, Daniel Murphy, Donnie Davenport, Arnold Watkins, and Robert Woody.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Cochran McDaniel Funeral Home to help defray final funeral expenses.
