Jeanette Jones Cruse

Jeanette Jones Cruse, age 76, of Morganton, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Hayesville, NC. Jeanette was born February 8, 1950, in Macon, GA to Bernard Jackson Jones and Lee Moorehead Jones. 

Jeanette's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Darell, and a proud grandmother to Erica, whom she loved beyond measure. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with them, and the moments they shared together were the ones she treasured most.

Jeanette was known for her incredible work ethic. She loved to work and rarely took time off, often saying there was always something that needed to be done. It was difficult to convince her to take a vacation, but when she did, it was always to be with Darell and Erica, creating memories with the people she loved most.

Jeanette was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She never expected anything in return. She lived with strength, humility, and generosity, touching the lives of countless people through her kindness and unwavering willingness to put others before herself.

Jeanette will be remembered for her loving heart, tireless work ethic, selflessness, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy of compassion, dedication, and unconditional love will live on in all who knew and loved her.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Jackson Jones and Lee Moorehead Jones.

She is survived by her son, Darell Cruse; granddaughter, Erica (Eli) Russell; and great-grandchild, Lawson Russell.

Funeral Service, on Wednesday July 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Russell Murdock officiating.
