Mr. Joe "J.L." Lamuel Farmer, age 83, of Blairsville, GA passed away August 29, 2009.
Mr. Farmer was born on November 20, 1925 in Fannin, GA, to Floyd and Ora Farmer. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. Mr. Farmer was preceded in death by father, Floyd Farmer, mother, Ora Colbert, wife, Carmen Ada Smith Farmer, sister, Gertha Taylor, brother, Ernest Farmer, sister, Gertrude Sanders.
Survivors include: sister, Nelle Pittman & brother-in-law, W.T. Pittman of Blue Ridge, GA and several neices and nephews.
Funeral services will be held , August 31, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Brother, David McLendon and Reverend Claude Mathis officiating.
Pallbearers for the service will be Jimmy Butler, Doyle Scoggins, Timothy Sussman, Ed Vanughan, Mike Pittman and Cecil Smith. Interment will follow in the Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, August 31, 2009 from 11:00am-3:00pm
