Mr. John Berlin Adams, age 87, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Friday, August 24th, 2007, in Stonehenge Assisted Living Center in Blairsville.
Mr. Adams was born in Monroe County, Florida, on Thursday, July 8, 1920, a son of the late John Berlin Adams and Annie Cedele Russell Adams. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps, and served during World War II, in Iwo Jima. He had been preceded in death by his wife, Maurine Strickland Adams.
Surviving family members include a son, Charles Adams, of Miami; and a daughter, Maurine Gregory, of Blairsville; grandchildren: Heather Lusk, Kent Adams, John Ledford Gregory, and Thomas Gerald Gregory; two great grandchildren also survive, along with many friends and other relatives.
Memorial Services have been scheduled for Monday, September 10, 2007, at the Old Rock Sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Blairsville, with Dr. Fred Lodge officiating.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Blairsville Building Fund, P.O. Box 2058, Blairsville, GA 30514; or to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 521, Blairsville, GA 30514.
