Judy Dockery Ledford

Judy Dockery Ledford, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on December 23, 2023. She was a cherished member of the community and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Judy's life was a testament to grace, kindness, and love.

Judy was born on March 28, 1955 in Murphy, North Carolina to the late Dale Harvey Dockery and the late Virginia Dare Montgomery.

 She found solace in attending church, where she nourished her spirit through faith. Her devotion to God was unwavering and inspired those around her. Judy also found great joy in reading Christian books, which touched her heart and strengthened her beliefs. Judy enjoyed watercolor painting and flowers.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband, Keith Ledford; daughter, Whitney Ledford Belcher and son-in-law Jason Belcher; grandchild, Jaydan Belcher; and brothers and sisters-in-law George (Janet) Dockery and David (Nita) Dockery. 

 Services will be held on Wednesday, December 27th, 2023 at Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Ivy Log Baptist Church Cemetery.

Judy Dockery Ledford leaves behind an enduring legacy of compassion and kindness embedded within the hearts of those whose lives she touched. Though she may no longer be physically present among us, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our memories. Though she is gone from our sight, her love will forever remain in our hearts.
