Justin Andrew Long

Justin Andrew Long, age 31, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, in Hiawassee. He was born on March 20, 1995, in Blairsville, Georgia, to Scott and Tammy Long.

Justin was preceded in death by his father, Scott Long.

Justin worked as a bus driver, a job that reflected the caring and dependable person he was. He truly enjoyed the children he transported each day and the relationships he built with them. He believed showing up for people mattered, and he did so without expecting anything in return. Anyone who knew Justin knew they could count on him, and he rarely ended a conversation without saying, “If you need me, just give me a call.” Those words weren’t just something he said—they were the way he lived his life.

Justin cherished his family and the time they spent together. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud stepfather who treasured the memories they created together. He had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a sense of humor that was uniquely his own. He had a way of making people laugh and bringing light into the lives of those around him. He made it a point to check on the people he loved, making sure they always knew he was only a phone call away. His kindness, generosity, and the countless ways he was there for others will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Courtney Long; his son, Andrew Long; his stepchildren, Grayson Fuller, Everlee Quick, and Emersyn Quick; his mother, Tammy Long; his brothers, Cody (Alexis) Long and Nathan (Jamie) Long; his grandfather, Daniel Long; and his nieces and nephews, Blakeleigh Long, Maverick Long, Asher Long, and Addy Long. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home of Blue Ridge with Rev. Jack Blackwell officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Cody Long, Nathan Long, Brendlyn Phillips, Will Stewart, Adam Cruse, and Robert Fuller.

Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Long and Grayson Fuller.

Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home of Blue Ridge on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
