Ms. Kay Frances Davis, age 78, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021. Ms. Davis was born Friday, December 4, 1942, in Blue Ridge, GA, to the late William T. “Pat” Loving and the late Vernie Mae Arp Loving. Kay was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Hardscrabble Road in Mineral Bluff, GA. She was a kind, gentle, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved going to church, reading her Bible, spending time with family, listening to gospel music and traveling. As a hobby, she enjoyed coloring inspirational pieces to frame for others as gifts. She was also well known by many for being the BEST at frying the most delicious potatoes and fish and deer meat brought in fresh by her husband Junior, an avid angler and hunter. She was good at catching fish herself, too! She also served her country as a dedicated wife to husband Junior throughout his time served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. The two were inseparable until his passing in 2009, always seen together everywhere and loved by all.
Preceded in death by husband of 43 years, Van Davis, Jr.; brothers Ray, Wade, Clois “Buddy” and Clint Loving; sisters Lois and Ethelee. Surviving family members that cherished her and will miss her dearly include: Daughter Gina Davis; daughter & son-in-law, Crystal & Ricky Thomas; grand-daughters, April (Logan) Wilson & Andrea (Trey) Campbell; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
