Keith M Croft

Mr. Keith M. Croft passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, after an extended illness with loving family at his side. He was born on August 11, 1942, in Bridgeport, CT. Son of the late Keith M. Croft, SR. and Helen P. Croft

Keith retired at age 49, after 28 years as Acting Chief with the City of Cocoa Fire Department in Florida. He also served in the Naval Reserves. His leadership abilities were exemplary. He was a very patient, kind, and generous person. He had continued working as an electrician and in plumbing until moving nine years ago with his wife to Blairsville, where he referred to the beautiful mountains as "God's Country". He was a devout Christian and was a member of Coosa Methodist Church.

Keith enjoyed traveling, woodworking, reading, and fly fishing most of all. He loved his family, and the highlight was taking the grandchildren camping, boating, skiing, everywhere on our travels when they were growing up. and mentoring them along the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Judith Croft, Daughter Barbara N. Smith, Sister Karen Croft, and Step-son Patrick Wellington.

Surviving Mr. Croft is his loving wife of 39 years, Susan Croft. Daughter, Sherry Desmon (Rick), Cocoa, FL, Step-daughter Ellen Lough (Robert) Pt. St. John, FL. Grandchildren, Rachel Georgia (Evan) Germany; Sarah Hogan (Patrick) Ireland; Lauren Smith (PA); Carrie Smith (PA); Dale Lough (Pt. St. John, FL), Todd Lough (Pt. St. John FL); four great grandchildren; Greyson, Granger, Emma. Aoibhinn Rae, Sisters; Barbara Locke, Kristine Popun (Lek); many other relatives and friends.

His family wishes to thank everyone at Pruitt Hospice for all their caring help during the last three weeks of his life.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. If you wish, the family request donations be made to Coosa Methodist Church at 767 Mulky Gap Rd, Blairsivlle, GA 30512 for missions in memory of Keith.
