Keith Lynn Thomas, Sr., 74, of Union County, passed away on July 21, 2025, in Gainesville, GA. He was born on May 30, 1951, in Chicago, IL.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army, showing his dedication and commitment to his nation.
Keith had a deep love for living in the North Georgia mountains. The beauty of nature during his time there brought him joy and peace. He also had a fondness for watching old westerns, which he enjoyed in his spare time.
Family was very important to him. He cherished the moments spent with loved ones, making memories that will always be held dear. Keith was also a strong supporter of those serving in public safety, showing his respect and admiration for their commitment to keeping the community safe.
Keith is preceded in death by his cherished wife, Lynn Thomas, with whom he shared a deep and enduring love. Also preceding him in death are his brothers, Kenneth Thomas and Edwin Thomas, and his sister, Gloria Thomas.
He is survived by his son, Keith Thomas Jr., and daughter-in-law, Jamisa Thomas; and their sons, Doccoa Seabolt, Austin Poole, and Lane Poole. He is also survived by his daughter, Tanya Thomas, and her daughter Destiny Bigley; and his daughter Tracy Thomas, and her children: Katlyn Tefft, her son Holden Harper and her daughter Milah Moreno, and Tracy's son Michael Whitehead Jr., along with Michael's children, Avery Whitehead and Jayden Whitehead.
A graveside will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on August 13, 2025, at 1:30 pm.
