With a whole and glorified body, Linda LeCroy Fix, 85 of Blairsville, Georgia, arrived home in the presence of God and the saints on July 29, 2025.
Born to the late Rev. Glenn "Pete" and Velma LeCroy, Linda grew up surrounded by family and faith. At the age of 12, she became a child of God through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. A devoted member of New Union Baptist Church, Linda's faith was the foundation of her life and guided her every step.
From her earliest memory, Linda carried a single dream close to her heart---to be a mother. That dream began to take shape when she met her forever, Bill Fix of Hinton, West Virginia. They married in 1957 and together built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.
Linda and Bill raised three children on a chicken farm in Morganton before later moving to Blairsville, where Bill worked in real estate. Linda created a home filled with warmth and welcome. She treasured her family and friends dearly. Her door was always open, with a meal soon to follow, making everyone feel like part of the family.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Fix, her siblings, Nelson LeCroy, and Don LeCroy. She is survived by her sister Carolyn Bramlett; her beloved children, Patrick Fix, Amy (Howard) McCombs, and Millie (Michael) Owenby; her cherished grandchildren, Daniel Payne, Morgan (Jacob) Williams, Mitchell Owenby, Mason and Mia McCombs; and her great-grandchildren, Cora and Owen Williams, who kept her thoroughly entertained and brought her so much joy in her later years.
A service celebrating Linda's life and birthday will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at New Union Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA, with a graveside service to follow. Visitation will precede from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at New Union Church.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Tim Grizzle, Jacob Grizzle, Jordan Grizzle, Van Payne, Max Grant, and Mitchell Owenby. The following gentlemen will serve as honorary pallbearers: Larry Akins and Milton Akins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Union Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or International Mission Board (https://www.imb.org/generosity/), continuing Linda's heart for sharing the love of Christ around the world.
