Linda Holloway

Linda Nell Holloway, 85, of Murphy, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at her home in Murphy, NC. Linda was born January 12, 1939, in Jackson County, NC to Lynn and Etta Olvey.

Linda was preceded in death by spouse, Franklin Holloway; father, Lynn Olvey; mother, Etta Olvey; daughter, Nancy Holloway; brother, James Olvey; sister, Dot Miller; and sister, Elizabeth Olvey.

She is survived by her daughter, Pattie (Mark) Lovingood; son, Jeff Holloway, grandchildren, Krista (Charles) Lamb, Nicole (Lonnie) Sneed, Alex (Autti) Holloway; great-grandchildren, Emily Lamb, Amber Lamb, and Charlie Lamb; sisters, Alice Matthews, Shirley Long, Brenda Daggy, Katie Barker, Mary Franklin, and Beatrice Baker; brother-in-law, Mark Holloway; and sister-in-law, Freda Baxter, and niece, Brenda Davis.

Linda loved canning, gardening, and making jelly. Her favorite pastime included going to yard sales. She loved and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy Chapel with Rev Scott Cole officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Alex Holloway, Frank Schaffer, Charley Lamb, Mark Lovingood, Marion Morgan, Paul Morgan. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Lonnie Sneed, Jeff Holloway, and Gary Ledford.

Interment will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Cemetery in Murphy, NC.

The family will receive friends at Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy on Monday, 15th of January, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
