Marcus Leonard Taylor

Mr. Marcus Leonard Taylor, age 82 of Young Harris, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home.
Mr. Taylor was born Sunday, October 5, 1924 in Dover, FL to the late Moses Taylor and the late Birty Sauls Taylor. He had lived most of life his in Atlanta before moving to Young Harris in 1972. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Blairsville and was WWII Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by son, Marcus Taylor and sister, Doris Lanier.
Survivors include: wife, Geneva "Ginny" Taylor of Young Harris, GA, sister, Mildred Jones of Fairburn, GA, brother, Robert Taylor of Fayetteville, GA, brother, Carl Taylor, FL, sister, Linda Whitlock of New Bern, NC, several nieces and nephews, special friends, David and Chris Furby.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13, 2007 at 12:00 P.M. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Harwell officiating. Interment will follow, at 3:30 P.M. with military honors, in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ryo, GA. Serving as pallbearers are: Robert Taylor, Carl Taylor, David Furby, Chris Furby and Evan Furby.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Thursday, July 12.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to your favorite charity.
The Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
