Mark Alan Scott

Mark Alan Scott, 68, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 from complications of Type 1 diabetes, passing at home in his sleep. Mark was born November 5, 1957, in Atlanta, GA to Robert and Virginia Scott.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Robert Scott, and mother, Virginia Scott.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ann Scott; daughter, Cynthia Scott; grandchild, Robert Morales-Scott; great-grandchildren, Aurora and Björn Morales-Scott; and sisters, Terri McKee and Joni Tornambe.

Mark was a devoted husband, father, brother and loyal friend, and cherished his retirement in the mountains of Blue Ridge Georgia. He had a genuine boundless love for his family and friends with an innate ability to find beauty in everything. Mark had an extraordinary talent as a musician, songwriter, and photographer, his lifelong passion which continued until his passing. He showed kindness and compassion, and never met a stranger.

His passing leaves a tremendous void in our lives, but his legacy of love remains in our hearts forever.
